Providing a place for girls to continue developing their basketball skills was the initial goal established by the late Brad Warze nearly ten years ago.As women’s basketball has continued its growth and popularity the program has grown to meet the demands, notonly of our high school athletes, but that of the middle school athletes that want to strive for continued success well into high school; a desire instilled to many through Coach Warze’s commitment to being your best, on and off the court. McKinleyville Girls Basketball practices an inclusive policy; offering the chance to grow and develop in a basketball community disregarding ethnic, economic, religion, and athletic ability.All we ask is your commitment to giving your best and program support
Our primary objective is to provide a environment, in McKinleyville, for girls to learn the skills, the game and understand the commitment to become a better player under a successful and willing coaches. Secondary, to enable the girls the opportunity to test those skills locally, against fellow female athletes in Humboldt County. Thirdly, to provide an opportunity to further test those skills and team work developed in a highly competitive AAU environment outside the local boundaries.A true test to see where the athletes are and where they need to be.
In all, the program provides expanded opportunities for young ladies to develop character, sportsmanship and enjoyment for the game of basketball.
